A GLOBAL NETWORK, ROOTED IN COMMUNITY.

Founded by the legendary Schoenfeld sisters, SIMS has helped hundreds of students—from foster youth in Los Angeles to international conservatory hopefuls—find their voice through music. Our programs blend the rigor of classical training with the healing potential of music, backed by alumni and educators from Stanford, USC, Juilliard, and the LA Philharmonic.

OUR MISSION

SIMS promotes music education, cross-cultural exchange, and youth empowerment through world-class mentorship and wellness-centered programs. Our latest initiative, Project X, uses classical music as a powerful tool to support emotional resilience, mental health, and identity development in underserved youth.

From community pop-ups to global mentorship, we’re redefining what music education can do.

IMPACT ARTIST FEATURE

The society is excited to recognize Chloe Jiang as our most recent international Impact Artist - Grand Prize recipient for 2024-2025.

Chloe Jiang is a senior at Harvard Westlake High School, using music to make an impact on the community.

Classically trained under the tutelage of Professor Choi, Chloe is a pianist, composer, and a scientist. Not only has Chloe placed in multiple international music competitions, but she also uses music to bridge divides by hosting concerts at retirement and hospice centers. Through her concerts, Chloe also raises funds for music education and community health initiatives.

Her recent accomplishments include hosting a community concert to raise funds for the CDC Foundation.

SOCIETY GOALS

Our goal is to build a replicable model for embedding music in systems of care, education, and culture. Our bold new initiative, set for 2020 - 2030, will:

- Bring classical music into schools, shelters, and public spaces where traditional arts programs are often missing.

- Provide free public concerts and performance opportunities for the public to engage in classical music.

- Recognize youth for making an impact through classical music in the community.
